The early part of the year is punctuated with trips to Edinburgh, but we reach the Thames and spend most of the rest of the year exploring the rivers of the south of England.
Our faulty solar panels are replaced and we manage to spend weeks at a time in the middle of summer idling down stream without needing to run the diesel engine.
We reach the southern most point on the connected canal network, Godalming, and meet up with friends in Bath and Bristol.
Relatives and friends also join us as we reach London - over a year later than we expected. We leave Bartimaeus to over-winter near Rugby while we return to Edinburgh (via Eindhoven).
