We have had many a cheery chat with passers by and have met some people multiple times, but today we had an actual meet up with friends and a specific time and place to be. Before setting off though we were passed by a boat called Wrens Nest, so was pleased to exchange stories with them as they worked the lock. We both had an actual wren’s nest aboard. 

We saw some interesting sights in the morning: thirsty sheep and a cave hewn from the rock.

Lucky to have lunch under a tree today and locking fairly makes a lady glow. Shane did get to use the ” that’s no lady, that’s my wife! ” line so that’s him happy. Lovely eating outside again in the evening and catching up with Paul and meeting Richard!
